‘Don’t be surprised’: Arsenal fans react as Rob Holding to Newcastle deal stalls

Arsenal fans have been reacting on social media as reports emerged this afternoon that Rob Holding’s move to Newcastle could be under threat.

reported today that Arsenal are stalling on the deal which would see Holding join Newcastle on loan.

It is claimed that Mikel Arteta is yet to decide whether to allow the former Bolton man to leave, given the Gunners have a number of injuries in the defensive department.

The club has signed Gabriel Magalhaes and Pablo Mari this summer but Arteta, who usually opts with three central defenders, is clearly not comfortable with allowing Holding to leave just yet.

Gunners fans, then, having been giving mixed reactions to the news on Twitter. While some think it’s a smart move by the boss, others are keen to see Holding gone so that others can be brought into the mix.
