‘Done deal’: Fabrizio Romano has news about £70k-a-week West Ham player

Fabrizio Romano has provided a fresh transfer update about West Ham United midfielder Nikola Vlasic.

The transfer insider claims the Hammers man’s loan switch to Torino is a “done deal”.

Vlasic joined West Ham last summer for £30m including add-ons on a five-year deal worth .

However, the Croatia international struggled last season, making just six Premier League starts and scoring once.

Now, it looks as though the Hammers are already letting him go, potentially incurring a big loss in the process.

According to Romano, Vlasic has just arrived in Turin ahead of medical tests on Wednesday morning.

The West Ham man will reportedly join the Serie A side on a loan deal with an option to buy for €15m (£12.7m).

West Ham have made a big call here, considering how much they paid for Vlasic last year.

The Hammers appear willing to make a big loss on the 26-year-old after just 12 months.

Vlasic is a good player, but things just haven’t gone to plan for him in his maiden season at the London Stadium.

But now it doesn’t look as though he’ll get the chance to prove himself in claret and blue again.

At the same time, Moyes surely wouldn’t be sanctioning Vlasic’s departure if a replacement wasn’t on the way.

Arthur Masuaku was allowed to leave last week, and it turned out the Hammers had agreed a deal to sign Maxwel Cornet.

Could a new attacking midfielder be West Ham-bound?
