‘Done deal and here-we-go’: Fabrizio Romano has exciting update for West Ham fans

West Ham United have all-but sealed the signing of Kurt Zouma from Chelsea, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Hammers have been heavily linked with the France international for a number of weeks now.

Although Spurs were reportedly also eyeing Zouma, it looks as though West Ham have won the race for his services.

According to Romano, the paperwork between the Hammers and Chelsea has now been completed.

Zouma reportedly his medical earlier this morning, and personal terms were also agreed.

All that’s left now is the final agents’ details, and then the move will be official, added Romano.

West Ham on brink of Zouma signing – the story so far

Zouma came through the ranks at Saint-Etienne and made 74 appearances for the club overall.

He helped them win the French League Cup in 2013, a year in which he also won the Under-20 World Cup with France.

Zouma was then on the move in January 2014, joining Chelsea for a reported £13.2million.

The 6ft 3in powerhouse has taken in three loan spells while on the Blues’ books.

He spent the remainder of 2013-14 at Saint-Etienne and also played for Stoke City and Everton.

Zouma has clocked up an impressive 151 competitive appearances for Chelsea.

He has won the Champions League, two Premier League titles and a League Cup with the Blues.

Zouma has also won eight caps for France, scoring once, and was in the squad for Euro 2020.
