Don Hutchison says West Ham have a player who’s ‘on fire’ and ‘loved in the dressing room’

West Ham United on-loan forward Jesse Lingard is “on fire” and is “loved in the dressing room”, pundit Don Hutchison has told .

The former Hammers midfielder also reckons that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on him, but hopes he’ll show loyalty to David Moyes.

The 28-year-old has been one of the success stories of 2021 after moving to the London Stadium from Manchester United at the start of the year.

In just nine games in claret and blue, Lingard has registered eight goals and four assists, helping to keep West Ham on track for a Champions League place.

have claimed that Tottenham are interested in the England international and the say Arsenal are also keeping tabs on him.

And former Premier League ace Hutchison also reckons the two north London sides are interested in Lingard, though he hopes the player will look to stay with West Ham.

“The rumours over here is that he might stay in London,” he told . “Arsenal are sniffing at him. Tottenham are having a little look as well.

“I’d like to think he might show a little loyalty toward David Moyes. He’s on fire at the moment, enjoying himself. He’s loved in the dressing room – I follow him [on social media].”

TBR View:

Lingard has been absolutely sensational since swapping Old Trafford for the London Stadium, and given his future is somewhat uncertain, it’s not surprising he’s being linked with other clubs.

You’d think the Red Devils will try to keep him at the club next season instead of moving him on, but likewise, the Hammers will be eager to keep him in east London long term.

And of course there will probably be options from other clubs – who wouldn’t be interested in a player with such talent, a great attitude and a superb goal contribution return?
