Don Hutchison thrilled by reported Liverpool target Takumi Minamino
Don Hutchison has claimed that reported Liverpool target Takumi Minamino could be a great signing for Jurgen Klopp’s team.
, the Reds are prepared to “accelerate” interest in Red Bull Salzburg attacker Minamino.
It is understood that Klopp’s side are confident they will sign the 24-year-old for just £7.25million when the January transfer window opens, as he’s available at the cheap price due to a release clause.
The report details that Liverpool started negotiations for the Japan international in November and they believe he’s worth £20million without his clause.
Minamino has played 22 games for Austrian champions Salzburg this season in all competitions, scoring nine goals and supplying 11 assists in return.
Hutchison, who is a pundit and ex-Liverpool midfielder, believes that target Minamino could be a real success if he moves to Anfield.
“This would be a great signing for Liverpool!!!! The energy levels of Minanino are off the scale!!”

TBR’s View:
Minamino has caught the eye playing against Liverpool twice this season in the Champions League group stages and it looks like he could be on Merseyside by January.
It seems a no-brainer to snap up the skilful attacker in January, as he’s worth far more than his £7.25million clause and has so much potential to get even better.
He scored and assisted on his visit to Anfield despite ending up on the losing team and is a versatile attacker that can play in wide or central areas.
Liverpool do have some stiff competition in the final third already within their squad, but Minamino looks like he could be an exciting addition to the Premier League.
