Don Hutchison and Michael Ball react as Everton lose at Arsenal
Everton were beaten 3-2 by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium yesterday, suffering a blow to their prospects of winning a place in Europe next season.
The Toffees took the lead after 49 seconds through Dominic Calvert-Lewin but goals from Eddie Nketiah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had the Gunners in the lead.
On the stroke of half-time, Richarlison restored parity for the Toffees. Their lead, however, lasted little more than the length of the interval.

Just 23 seconds of the second half had elapsed when Aubameyang netted his second of the evening, handing Arsenal a brilliant three points.
The result leaves Everton down in 11th place in the table with just a point less than Arsenal.
A couple of former Toffees fan favourites had their say on the performance.
Michael Ball was a one-cap England international in 2001 and he also made 121 appearances for Everton.
He doesn’t believe Arsenal are a good team and with a bit more quality, Carlo Ancelotti’s men would have won the game.
Just a little bit more quality we could’ve won that game.
Arsenal are aren’t a good team. Even their fans were panicking.

Don Hutchison played 75 games for the Blues, scoring 10 goals in the process.
He also took to Twitter and believes Everton deserved more than they got from the game.
The ex-Scotland star believes that the difference between the two teams was down to one Arsenal player.
Bad result and rubbish goals to concede but Everton deserved somthing out of that game!!
Aubameyang the difference.— Don Hutchison (@donhutch4)
Everton can have nobody to blame but themselves after their latest defeat.
Although Bernd Leno in the Arsenal goal was a standout performer; with more composure, Everton would have won comfortably.
Given the state Everton were in when Ancelotti arrived, the team is still vastly improved.
If they do miss out on Europe this season, there will be genuine optimism that the Toffees can achieve something special during 2020/21.
