Don Hutchison and Dion Dublin hammer ‘really lazy’ Leeds player

Don Hutchison and Dion Dublin have absolutely hammered Leeds United star Stuart Dallas for his failure to stop Son Heung-min during Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-0 win on Saturday –

Son, 28, scored his 100th Tottenham goal after latching on to the end of a brilliant low cross from Harry Kane to finish superbly past Illan Meslier. The telepathy between Kane and Son was on show once again, as Spurs cruised to a 3-0 win.

Kane put Spurs 1-0 up from the penalty spot but it was two moments later. Son drifted past Dallas, who was caught on his heels, to get on the end of a Kane cross and finish past Illan Meslier. A brilliant goal, but the pundits feel Dallas is to blame.

Both think Northern Ireland Dallas should have put an arm across Son and without fouling the South Korea captain, outmuscle Son to stop him getting on the end of the cross. Hutchison labelled Dallas “naive”, while Dublin thinks Dallas was “lazy”.

“If you’re Dallas, put an arm across Son’s chest and run goalside of him,” “Don’t foul him, just put your hand out, fob him off, outmuscle him, don’t let him run across you. Just too naive isn’t it.” “Just lazy isn’t it, really lazy.”

TBR’s view – Naive? Perhaps. Lazy? Absolutely not.

One thing Leeds have not been this season is “lazy”. The Whites are regarded as the fittest team in the Premier League, with Marcelo Bielsa’s demands and murderball training sessions designed to outrun their opponents and work harder than the rest.

This is former Brentford star Dallas’ first season in Premier League football. Yes, the versatile ace might have been naive as Hutchison says and probably should have looked to stop Son – or at least be on his toes rather than letting Son drift past him.

But to label Dallas – or any other Leeds player – as “lazy” is just ridiculous.
