Dom Matteo delivers prediction as Leeds United face Sheffield United on Sunday

that he believes Leeds United will secure a 3-1 win over Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon, despite going away from home to face Chris Wilder’s side at Bramall Lane.

Leeds have secured three Premier League points from their opening two matches, catching the attention of the neutral. Fans have been treated to two succesive 4-3 results, losing to Liverpool at Anfield but beating fellow new boys Fulham.

Sheffield United come into the match having suffered two straight defeats in their opening league games, losing 2-0 to Wolves and then going down 1-0 to Aston Villa after John Egan was sent off. They are yet to score in the league this season.

Matteo, who is regarded as a Leeds icon following his goal in the San Siro during a Champions League clash against AC Milan, predicted his old side to secure a 3-1 win over the Blades – claiming it is a good time to play against them.

“I think we’ll beat them, it is a good time to play them after two league defeats,” . “We owe them one. They deserve enormous credit for last season, but that is where Leeds United should be. Score prediction, I’m going to go to 3-1 Leeds.”

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds will be without the services of veteran magician Pablo Hernandez, who is sidelined through a groin injury. New signing Diego Llorente could feature, but the chances of him starting are small.

Sheffield United will be without Egan through suspension, with either Phil Jagielka or Etham Ampadu expected to come in. Lys Mousset is also sidelined due to a toe injury, with the Whites favourites to secure three points.
