‘Doesn’t want me’… £60m Tottenham target now claims his manager no longer wants him
Despite all the progress Ange Postecoglou and Daniel Levy made in January at Tottenham Hotspur, it seems there’s a busy summer ahead.
Postecoglou has already provided sufficient evidence that he is a manager worth backing, his project has real potential.

And given the Australian is still getting the most out of a squad only half in his image, the coming transfer windows will be crucial.
Perhaps those departing will be just as vital as the players arriving, with Spurs perhaps now needing to oversee a one in, one out policy.
The likes of Bryan Gil and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg look set for summer exits, with a decision on Timo Werner’s permanent future needed, too.
That being said, one or two summer targets are already being linked to Tottenham, with perhaps a prolific striker on the cards.
Postecoglou decided not to replace Harry Kane at Tottenham with another superstar striker last summer, but may now seek that replacement thus.
And with Brentford’s Ivan Toney said to be a prime candidate, his words after a win over Wolverhampton Wanderers yesterday will cause some interest.
Ivan Toney could be the perfect summer addition for Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham
Speaking via on X, Toney was asked to respond to Thomas Frank’s recent comments admitting the striker was likely to leave in the summer.
Toney will only have a year left on his Brentford deal at that point, making sense for the London club to sell.

But jovial in response, Toney decided his manager’s words meant he was no longer wanted.
Toney said: “I see that as he [Thomas Frank] doesn’t want me. Nah the manager’s said what he’s said.
“Listen, I can’t make clubs come and get me, I’ve just got to keep doing what I do and that’s score goals.
“Like I said, what will be, will be.”
Of course, it does seem as if Toney is playfully alerting clubs with interest that he will be available this summer.
Tottenham have been linked with the England international, as have the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.
Whilst it won’t be easy for any club to secure a deal this summer, Postecoglou is building a rather tempting project at Tottenham.
And as we get closer to the season end and the summer, speculation is unlikely to die down.
All that being said, Martin Keown was blown away by one of Spurs’ current forwards yesterday.
