Does reported interest in Everton man give Rangers a transfer boost?
Fenerbahce are reportedly looking to sign Everton centre-back Yerry Mina this summer after a disappointing first campaign at Goodison Park – but such interest could prove to be a boost for Rangers.
that the 24-year-old is a target for Fener, despite the Colombia international only joined Everton in a big-money £27.2million move from Barcelona ().
A number of injuries prevented Mina from developing any kind of momentum at Everton this season, and it has left Toffees fans somewhat unsatisfied with his debut season.
The chances of Everton letting Fenerbahce sign the Colombia international looks unlikely, though, given the outlay they spent on Mina. It is much more likely that Everton will give Mina a chance to shine next season.

But Fener’s reported desire to bring a centre-back to Turkey this summer suggests they need a new central defender, and perhaps have given up on their efforts to keep Martin Skrtel – whose contract expires at the end of the month.
that Fener have made an offer to keep Skrtel. It is believed the defender wants a two-year deal worth £34,000 a week, but has only been offered a one-year deal worth £25,000 a week.
Rangers have also made an offer for Skrtel, as per the report, in a move that would see the defender reunited with former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard.
But with Fener now looking to sign a central defender, it may suggest they have given up on keeping Skrtel and that makes it much more likely that the latter will become a free agent on June 30.
It means Rangers have a much better chance of signing Skrtel this summer.
