‘Disrespectful’: Things go from bad to worse for 31-year-old, less than a year after he left Liverpool
Gini Wijnaldum has been left out of the most recent Holland squad, because of a lack of gametime after leaving Liverpool.
The Reds teammates that Wijnaldum left behind are fighting for a quadruple, having added the FA Cup to their League Cup victory on Saturday.
They are in the final of the Champions League and if they beat Southampton tonight, they will take the title race to the final day of the season.
The Dutchman’s move to PSG has not worked out to the extent that he now finds himself out of the international reckoning.

Wijnaldum out of Holland squad
That decision has not gone down well with , with Valentijn Driessen taking aim at Louis van Gaal on the podcast
“He never plays at PSG but if you go through the rest of the squad, you see a lot more guys who play little to no football and they are there,” he said.
“With (Wijnaldum)’s track record, I can’t imagine it’s the end of the story. I think Van Gaal should take him in and give him confidence so that he can play a few games again and maybe grow back to a level where he makes the Dutch national team better.”
Fellow journalist Mike Verweij, added: “Why don’t you give him those four games in June so he has a chance to put himself in the spotlight? I find it incomprehensible and even a bit disrespectful that you don’t take Wijnaldum with you.”

Arsenal have been linked with bringing Wijnaldum back to England, less than a year after he left Anfield.
Wijnaldum was linked with Barcelona throughout much of his final Anfield season, but he chose to join PSG instead.
The French champions are chalk and cheese from Liverpool, where Jurgen Klopp is all-powerful and there is a focused, motivated squad playing with a clear philosophy.
There is too much player power at PSG and Wijnaldum has not been able to establish himself. Could he consider a return to English football to get back into the international reckoning ahead of Qatar?
