Dion Dublin praises Dele Alli for his Tottenham performance against Liverpool
Former Norwich City and Aston Villa striker, Dion Dublin, has lavished praises on Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli, following his excellent performance against Liverpool.
Alli was given a chance by Antonio Conte in midfield and seemed to take it with both hands. He put in a fine performance, and on another day, would have got himself on the scoresheet. It could, as many have pointed out, be a turning point for Alli at Spurs.

The former England man was among a number of players to put in fine performances for Tottenham. However, it was Alli who caught the eye ofpundit Dublin, who was singing his praises this evening.
“I thought Dele Alli was brilliant on the day. I’m not saying he’s back or that sort of thing. But on the one game I’ve seen, his attitude looked different, he was running, he was working hard,” Dublin
It was arguably Spurs’ best performance of the season. Harry Winks was also excellent in the midfield, while Harry Kane finally broke his goal scoring duck.
TBR’s View: Dele Alli Needs To Kick On To Save Tottenham Career
It might only be one game, but Dele Alli certainly seemed to enjoy himself. He looked very much like his old self and seemed to relish the chance given to him by Conte.
The big thing for Alli now is to kick on and keep it up. It’s no use just doing it for one game. It’s now a case of showing consistency, and showing the levels he did a few seasons ago.
For Conte, it’s a massive plus to see Alli performing well. He needs everyone on full form and buying into his methods, especially with the busy festive schedule to come. Certainly, a fit and firing Dele Alli is a huge plus for Spurs.
