Diego Llorente’s comments on Leeds fans makes exit report even more baffling
Leeds United fans may have received a nasty surprise at the start of this week, that Diego Llorente is keen to leave Elland Road.
Llorente has endured a tough first season at Leeds. But the notion that he wanted to go over his lack of game-time was bizarre given that he has been injured for much of the campaign and has rarely only been on the bench when he has been available.

Of course, playing time is only one factor that determines how happy a player is – particularly when they are experiencing their first season away from their home country.
But Leeds supporters would have been forgiven for not reading too much into the claims. And based on Llorente’s latest comments about the fans, it appears that he indeed has absolutely no intention of going anywhere.

The Spaniard – who earns £22,000-a-week, – is, obviously, waiting for his first chance to play in front of a packed Elland Road.
He confirmed that he gained an idea of what that will be like from watching the Amazon documentary on Leeds. And he suggested that he cannot wait to experience that for himself.
“A lot of people recommended it to me and, pfff, the atmosphere the fans created at the games was spectacular,” . “I’m counting down the days until we can see Elland Road completely full.”
There is hope that some supporters will be able to attend games just before the end of the season. But we are still a little way off stadiums being full once again.
So it certainly appears that Llorente is eyeing a lengthy stay at Leeds, rather than already planning his exit.
