‘Didn’t see that coming, very odd’: Some Aston Villa fans react to ‘weird’ club announcement

Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club that Richard O’Kelly would be stepping down from his role at Villa Park.
What’s the story?
Well, after nearly three years in the Midlands, O’Kelly has decided to leave his job as Assistant Head Coach.
Such a shame. Really didn’t catch much of the limelight but you can tell he has had a big impact around the team the last 3 years.

Best of luck Rich
Well, something is amiss given that this has happened 2 days before the start of the season. If the departures of JT and ROK had been planned, they would have happened before pre-season started. I suspect we will get to understand this in time

Bit of a strange one. Smiths right hand man. They said there'd be staff restructuring, but didn't expect ROK to go. All the best in the future, Richard and thanks for being a big part of putting us back on the right track!

This seems weird…something doesn’t feel right.

Seems very odd, given the season starts on Saturday…
