Destiny Udogie says he has been left so impressed by ‘incredible’ Tottenham player this summer

Tottenham Hotspur have almost completed their pre-season tour of Asia with just one more game standing in their way before returning to London.

For a lot of the players, the trip to Japan and South Korea has provided an opportunity to showcase their ability to Ange Postecoglou.

For some Tottenham players, this summer has been an opportunity to try and return to their top levels fitness-wisꦺe.

The likes of Richarlison and Destiny Udogie came int𝔍o the summer on the 🅷back of serious injuries.

Neither player has featured in any of the four f🎐riendl꧑ies so far, but the Italian defender has admitted there is one player who has really caught his eye so far.

Destiny Udogie impressed by ‘incredible’ Tottenham player this summer

After what was a brilliant 𝕴introd𝄹uction to the Premier League, Udogie suffered a quadricep injury which required him to undergo surgery in the final weeks of the campaign.

“Udogie – different level when he played for Tottenham and such a massive miss for them [when he’s been out],” Gary Neville said about Udogie at the end of the campaign.

After weeks of recovery, the left-back is now making his return and Postecoglou has said Udogie could even feature against Bayern Munich on Saturd𒉰ay.

T🍎he Italian has be♎en able to watch from the bench during the pre-season trip to Asia and there’s one player who has especially impressed him.

Speaking to , Udogie admitted that youngster Jamie Donley has been sensational this summer.

“Honestly, he’s been great, he’s been great. I know Jamie really well,” 🥃said Udo🔴gie.

“He’s an incredible pl🍸ayer wi🧔th a lot of quality so I know what he can do and he can be good in any position.

“I think what he’s doing is good. I ﷽saw him 🌺[against Team K League] as well, so he’s performing well and he’s doing great.”

Will Jamie Donley be loaned out by Tottenham?

This summer, due to Udogie’s inju𝓡ry, Donley has taken up the ๊role at left-back with Ben Davies also making a delayed return from his own injury.

The young midfielder has really impressed, however, ℱit ha😼s been made clear that his opportunities in his natural position are going to be limited.

Donley was handed some cameo displays last seasওon by Postecoglou b🍎ut they only amounted to 10 minutes.

After what was a really strong 2023/24 campaign in the U21s, Donley now has multiple𒁃 EFL clubs keen to sign him on loan this summer.

“I’m not sure [what I prefer], whatever the coaches think is best for me to be🌠 honest, and I trust what they think ♈is right,” Donley admitted when asked about a loan exit.
