‘Deserves to be in a big club’: Ancelotti raved about ‘excellent’ boss Everton are now reportedly after

Everton are currently on the lookout for a new manager in wake of Carlo Ancelotti’s Goodison Park departure.

The 61-year-old left Everton earlier this week to link up with former club Real Madrid.

The Toffees have just finished a Premier League campaign that promised a lot but delivered very little.

Nonetheless, there was optimism about next season, with Ancelotti set to continue building a high-quality team.

That’s no longer the case, and Everton are back to square one looking for a new manager to take the Blues reins.

While the 62-year-old is apparently closing in on a move to Lazio, the outlet claims “nothing can be ruled out”.

Sarri has an impressive CV, having worked wonders at Napoli, and also counts Chelsea and Juventus amongst his former employers.

And Ancelotti had kind words for his fellow Italian after he led Juve to their ninth consecutive title last year.

“They deserved to win the championship,” Ancelotti told Radio Anch’io Sport, via .

“Compared to the past, Juve struggled a bit more.

“It was not plain sailing, there were more uncertainties, especially in the last phase.

“Sarri did an excellent job, he had the ability to adapt well and next year I’m sure he will have a bigger impact.”

“Sarri deserves to be in a big club like the one of Juventus.

“The criticism is normal, but we are talking about the best team in Italy at the moment.”

Everton would be getting another high-quality manager – TBR View

While Sarri may have split opinion during his time at Chelsea, plenty of his peers rate him highly.

Mauricio Pochettino, for example, told Radio CRC – as quoted by – in 2018: “Sarri’s football is fantastic and the best to watch in Europe.

“When I can, I try not to miss out on a single Napoli game!”

Sarri is a high-quality manager and would certainly not be a step down from Ancelotti.
