Dermot Gallagher shares his verdict on Erling Haaland throwing the ball at Gabriel’s head after Arsenal conceded

Manchester City forward Erling Haaland was definitely involved in one or two spiky moments in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Sunday evening.

Haaland opened the scoring against Arsenal, finding a rare gap between Gabriel Magalhaes𓃲 and William Saliba, who managed to keep him out last season.

🧸From that point, the Norwegian was mostly a spectator, he crowded out in the Arsenal box when the visitors were playing with 10 men.

Mikel Arteta’s tactics worked, and 🥂Pep Guardiola was seriously impressed with two Arsenal defenders.

That being said, once Man Cityไ found the breakthrough, Haaland appeared to take out his frustration on Gabriel, proceeding to pick the ball up and throw it at the defender’s head.

꧅Of course, Haaland then continued to ruffle a few feathers after the game, a striker who loves the drama.

Erling Haaland told he’s like a ‘child in the playground’ against Arsenal

💎Speaking on Sky Sports’ , Dermot Gallagher discussed the incident of Haaland throwing the ball at the back of Gabriel’s head after the goal.

♐Pundits Stephen Warnock and Sue Smith were also in the studio to share their thoughts, with the latter saying the Norwegian was behaving like a child.

🉐Gallagher began: “He’s running the risk of another melee. Tempers are high. It was a really tough game to referee.”

🗹Warnock replied: “I’m fuming if it’s me but I did think it was funny. But he’s running a risk, Haaland.”

♕Smith then added: “I’d never do anything like that – but it was quite amusing. It was like what you’d do as a child in the playground.”

𝓡Perhaps some will feel that VAR should have looked at the incident, but it was unlikely to ever result in a red card.

Ben White was never meant to play against Man City

Gabriel was brilliant for Arsenal against City🃏, it’s understandable that he frustrated Haaland in the second half.

🌺Of course, alongside the Brazilian, Riccardo Calafiori made his first Arsenal start at the Etihad, a real baptism of fire.

🌟Ben White was never meant to play against Man City♉, he was suffering from an injury which is why Jurrien Timber moved to the right.

꧟Fortunately, after playing 45 minutes on Sunday evening, White should be afforded a rest for the visit of Bolton Wanderers to the Emirates on Wednesday.

🙈Arteta will probably hand chances to all of Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Raheem Sterling, a trio Arsenal fans are excited to watch.
