Dennis Bergkamp delivers verdict on Arsenal under Mikel Arteta

Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp has praised Mike🍰l Arteta’s efforts with the Gunners so far, noting how he’s trying to change their philosophy and claiming they “looked good” when he🍎’s seen them in action, in conversation with .

Arteta was confirmed as Arsenal’s new permanent head coach just before Christmas last year, the Spaniard replacing c♐ompatriot Unai Emery after the latter was axe✤d by the Emirates Stadium side.

At t🅘he time, Arsenal were stuck in a rut, languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table with a meagre five wins all season amid some poor results, but seven montꦅhs on, the signs of improvement are there.

Admittedly, there have been ups and downs – the Gunners have beaten Liverpool in the league and seen off Manchester City to get to the FA Cup final, but they also suffered disappointing defeats to the likes of Brighton, Aston Villa and🍎 Tottenham.

With fellow Arsenal icons Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira also having a fairly decent time in their 🌄latest coaching roles, Bergkamp has insisted he’s intrigued by Arteta’s project at Arsenal.

“I follow how they’re doing from afar. It’s a shame that MLS stopped after Thier⭕ry took a job there, and Patrick is doing well at Nice,” Bergkamp꧃ told , as quoted by Football London.

“I’m really interested in Mikel Arteta and how he’s doing at Arsenal, as there have been signs that he wants to change🐻 their philosophy. It looked good in the few matches I watched earlier in the year.”

Arsenal could hardly have picked a better head coach than Arteta – a club icon who learꩲned the ropes under the great Pep Guardiola and now gets the chance to mould in his image a teamꦕ that has underachieved in recent years.

While results have been mixed to say the least, it’s clear to see what the Spaniard is trying to do, and more often than not it comes off – though it is a big rebuilding job and patieಞnce, as well as assistance and resources, are needed.
