Dembele faces Barcelona contract showdown, Tottenham and Newcastle await
Tottenham and Newcastle could have been given a Dembele boost.
Ousmane Dembele, the mercurial Frenchman, has been given a contract ultimatum at Barcelona.
The winger has reportedly been given just one month to sign a new deal.
His current contract at the Camp Nou expires in summer 2022.
Owing to this, the club have told him he has one month to sign a new deal, otherwise he’ll be sold.
This is at least according to .
It will make the pursuit of the Frenchman a lot tastier in the coming weeks if true.
It was claimed just under a week ago that the Frenchman was subject of interest from a whole host of .
Tottenham need an attacking outlet who can provide goals and assists, though.
Meanwhile, Newcastle will be giddy with their newfound fortune and this is a fantastic opportunity to splash some of it.

Dembele is one hell of a player when he’s on his game too.
In 197 career games the 24-year-old has scored or assisted 100 times.
It certainly helps that he can play anywhere in attacking midfield areas or up front ().
Should he make the switch to the Premier League then it could kickstart his career.
It was only four and a half years ago that he made a massive £135m switch from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona ().
However, given his contract is set to expire in the summer, if he is allowed to leave the club, Barcelona won’t recoup that fee.
Wages may prove to be an issue for the winger, although the transfer fee shouldn’t be too daunting.
Either way, a window could be set to open for Dembele.
It’s just whether or not it will be Fabio Paratici or Amanda Staveley who will pounce on this deal.
