‘Delicious’, reeks of quality’: Some Sunderland fans blown away by 26-year-old’s display today
A number of Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to praise Jordan Jones for his latest display for the Black Cats.
The 26-year-old joined the Wearside outfit on loan from Rangers in late January and has made nine appearances to date for Lee Johnson’s side.
Jones started for Sunderland in today’s League One meeting with Rochdale at the Stadium of Light and played a big part in helping the Black Cats secure a 2-0 victory.

Lee Johnson’s charges led after just seven minutes, as Aiden McGeady’s free kick was headed home by the incredible Dion Sanderson.
Sunderland nearly made it 2-0 minutes later, but Jones’ effort was blocked after Dale keeper Gavin Bazunu has spilled a shot.
The visitors began causing the Black Cats some problems, but the Northern Irishman produced a superb assist to put his side two up, a superb cross for Charlie Wyke to head home.
Sunderland won comfortably in the end and are now five points behind of the top two.
And plenty of Black Cats fans on social media loved Jones’ contribution in the match:

That was a very enjoyable first half. We wobbled a bit after taking the lead, but the scoreline is exactly where it needs to be. Sanderson & Jones superb, O’Nien impressive, and Younger has done well too! Pompey getting walloped is also a good thing. 🔴⚪️

That ball from Jones for Wyke’s goal is superb, a player who really reeks of quality

A cracking result, if not quite the best performance we’ve turned in this season. Supreme performances from Dion Sanderson, Jordan Jones and Aiden McGeady, and with other results going our way, we can get ready for Portsmouth with real confidence. Momentum is with us. 🔴⚪️
