Dele Alli should be targeted by Newcastle as Daniel Levy makes call over his future

Newcastle should look to sign Dele Alli in January.

The Magpies are looking to offload some of their many millions and Dele would be perfect.

The Geordies’ recent takeover leaves them in a position where they have money to splash in the transfer windows.

Given that January is right around the corner and Newcastle are struggling, this comes at a perfect time.

Daniel Levy has reportedly made the decision to allow Dele Alli to leave.

This comes as a shock U-turn, seeing as the 25-year-old was refused an exit under Jose Mourinho.

Now, though, Levy and Fabio Paratici are willing to offload the midfield man.

This could come as music to the ears of Amanda Staveley and co at St. James’ Park.

Dele is an imperious midfielder who has proven himself as a Premier League talent.

However, in recent years he’s stagnated at Tottenham.

A change of scenery could be just what Dele needs to kick on and reignite his career.

Newcastle have some talent on their books, but adding to what they have will be crucial.

In Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson, Dele Alli would find himself in good company.

He could be one of the stars of the show for the Magpies and it’s a role that would suit him.

Slotting into the central 3 of a 4-2-3-1 system, behind Wilson and beside Saint-Maximin would be a perfect fit.

He adds goals and assists, can press well and excels in an attacking side.

It obviously hinges on who the new overlords in the North East look to as their new manager, but the signs are bright.

With a deal certainly there to be done, this looks like a transfer that would suit all parties.

Dele, Tottenham and Newcastle could all thrive, so now it’s up to the clubs to get it done.
