Dele Alli shocked by what he just heard about old Tottenham teammate Mousa Dembele
Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele were quite the players for Tottenham.
The latter was a formidable presence in the heart of midfield, with few players – if any – ever muscling him off the ball, such was his remarkable upper body strength and dribbling ability.
Kieran Tripper even hailed Dembele as the most skilful teammate he has had in his career during a chat with Gary Neville.
Made it look so easy. 🪄

In regards to Dele Alli – who is now at Como – he was quite something for Tottenham too, scoring 67 goals and providing 59 assists in 269 appearances for Spurs.
Now, the England international has reacted after hearing something extraordinary about Mousa Dembele.
Dele Alli stunned by unbelievable Mousa Dembele statistic
This statistic just goes to show how ridiculously talented the Belgian was at Tottenham.
As posted by Hotspur Reports on X (previously known as Twitter), nobody managed to dispossess Dembele between the months of March and August back in 2016.
After hearing that, Dele wrote on X: “Damn. My goat (greatest of all time).”
Damn😂💜 my goat😂

It speaks volumes that the 29-year-old played 107 games with Dembele, but was still left amazed by this achievement, which is pretty much the hold grail for a central midfielder who looks to control the game.
Where are Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele now?
Some Tottenham fans may care for an update on the pair, given how key they were during a successful period under Mauricio Pochettino.
Dembele actually retired from football back in the summer of 2022 after his contract with Guangzhou City expired.

In regards to Dele – who Spurs were once offered £85m for – the man from MK Dons is, as aforesaid, playing for Como in Italy, although he has work to do to impress Cesc Fabregas and resurrect his career.
The Como No.8 has only played nine minutes of football, but managed to pick up a straight red card in that time and has since been left on the bench three games in a row.
