Dele Alli now posts 12-word message on Instagram after Everton’s dramatic draw last night

Dele Alli put in the cross which led to Richarlison’s late equaliser for Everton against Leicester last night.

The centre found its way to the Brazilian, who could have had a hat-trick at Goodison Park, and he bundled the ball in to earn what could be a crucial result.

Everton need a favour from Southampton when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor last night, as the Clarets prepare for their first home game without Sean Dyche in charge since his sacking.

Dele was brought on as a 57th minute substitute against the Foxes, with Frank Lampard looking for a way to claw back Harvey Barnes’ early goal.

In that time, he made as many interceptions as anyone else in the home side did all night and while he will not officially get the assist for the goal, his contribution is worthy of credit.

Next up is the Merseyside derby at Anfield, which will be an altogether different test against arguably the form side in Europe right now.

But Dele posted a defiant message after the game, underlining that Everton are still fighting in this relegation scrap.

Their home form will be the key really and if they can beat Crystal Palace and Watford among their remaining fixtures, survival should be assured.

A Burnley win tonight would jangle some more nerves, taking them one point behind the Toffees ahead of that Anfield trip, but Dele will hope to make a bigger contribution between now and the end of the season.
