‘Definitely going to happen’: Manager says 18-year-old Arsenal loanee is going to break into Arteta’s side soon

Lincoln City manager Michael Appleton has lavished praise on Arsenal loanee Brooke Norton-Cuffy.
The defender joined Arsenal’s youth academy back in 2014, when he was just 10 years old. He came through the ranks at the club and made his under-23s debut as a 16-year-old last season.
Arsenal sent Norton-Cuffy out on loan to League One side Lincoln City in January this year. He has played 13 times for the Imps so far and has caught everybody’s eye with his impressive performances.
Lincoln boss Appleton has become a big fan of the teenager and has made a big prediction about the talented Arsenal loanee.

Speaking to , Appleton raved about Norton-Cuffy and predicted that it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a regular in the Premier League for Arsenal.
He said: “I don’t want Arsenal ringing me up saying ‘what have you said that for? But I’ve been saying it behind the scenes, I think he will play for Arsenal’s first team on a regular basis.
“It might not be for a couple of years but it’s definitely going to happen.
“He’ll hopefully continue his progression over the next few games. There are one or two things that I think I can help him with, but by the time he goes back to Arsenal, he’ll be much better.”

Norton-Cuffy is definitely an Arsenal youngster to keep an eye on.
The 18-year-old has primarily played at right-back this season but he’s hugely versatile. He can play anywhere across the backline and also on the right wing. If he continues developing at the same rate, he’ll become a top player very soon.
Norton-Cuffy’s current contract runs until the summer of 2023. That’s a worry for Arsenal fans, but that Edu has already offered him a new deal and he’s expected to put pen to paper in the near coming weeks.
Mikel Arteta will get a close look at Norton-Cuffy this summer and it will be interesting to see if the youngster will be given a chance in pre-season.
