But plenty of the supporters felt that Johnson was excellent. The 21-year-old was making his first Premier League appearance of the season.

Ben Johnson proves point in West Ham win at Everton

West Ham look to be incredibly strong in the two full-back positions. Vladimir Coufal is one of the first names on the team sheet when he is available.

Moyes also has Ryan Fredericks in the ranks.

But Johnson has certainly shown that he has the talent to make an impact at the highest level.

He may have to be patient for chances. But when they come along, he clearly has the ability to make an impact.
