Dean Smith praises Trezeguet after Villa beat Arsenal 3-0
Dean Smith has moved to praise winger Trezeguet, after Aston Villa stunned Arsenal 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
The club bounced back from two straight defeats to Leeds and Southampton with an absolutely superb display in north London which was led by the likes of Jack Grealish, Ollie Watkins and Ross Barkley.
Egypt international Trezeguet was also very good in north London, and it was he that was there at the back post to put Bukayo Saka under pressure for the first goal.

If not for his presence the Gunners man may have cleared his lines, and Smith was delighted with the 26-year-old’s contributions.
He said after the game (): “He came back in and showed us what he’s all about.
“He’s very important. His running numbers are incredible. Tactically, he’s got so much better. It was tough for him and Cashy that side because they had Aubameyang and Saka who played inside and Tierney.
“The two of them dealt with their three really well.”
Trezeguet will no doubt be hoping his performance will have been enough for him to get the nod to start against Brighton after the international break.
TBR’s View – Trezeguet response excellent
Trezeguet deserves big credit for his start to the 2020/21 season.

Sometimes last season he left a lot to be desired – although he did come in very clutch towards the end of the season.
There was some inconsistency, but this term he’s gone under the radar with Grealish and Barkley grabbing the headlines.
With Bertrand Traore coming in for relatively big money, the pressure has been on but he’s responded very well.
