Dean Smith offers thoughts on confrontation between Tyrone Mings and Anwar El Ghazi
Aston Villa manager Dean Smith watched on as two of his players had a clash on the pitch during the first half of the 0-0 draw with West Ham last night.
And as per the , Smith admitted that Anwar El Ghazi, who put his head into Tyrone Mings, is prone to a loss of temper.
Smith : “He’s got a bit of red mist in him. I wasn’t worried about [VAR]. What I do know is the lads sorted it out themselves. I didn’t need to say anything. The players dealt with it.
“It went over the edge of what we want but the lads dealt with it discreetly. There’s a great togetherness in our dressing room. I didn’t think about taking him off. That’s the end of it as far as we are concerned. They shook hands and got on with it.�/p>

Mings obviously felt El Ghazi didn’t go with his runner but it didn’t look too bad to the layman and maybe that’s why the winger took exception to the criticism.
Obviously, El Ghazi shouldn’t have put his head into Mings and it’s not a good look for either man that it all boiled over like that.
It creates an unnecessary talking point, especially at a club who are floating around the relegation zone.
