Dean Smith hails “outstanding” ability of Tottenham player
Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has waxed lyrical about the ability of Tottenham frontman Harry Kane.
Smith watched his Villa side produce an excellent display on Wednesday night to win 2-1 away at Spurs in the Premier League. However, there was the intriguing subplot about Kane during the game.
England captain Kane has been heavily linked with a move away from north London in the past couple of days, which is why some predict he may have just played his last home game for Spurs.
The 27-year-old striker reportedly claimed earlier this week that he wants a move away in the summer (), with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea the clubs interested in him.
, Kane has now gone on record to say he hopes to have an “honest conversation” with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy about his future, and that he’s highly ambitious to win trophies.
50-year-old Premier League boss Smith has explained why he rates Kane so highly, citing his movement as a big part of his game:
“He’s outstanding,” he told t.
“His movement, how he can drop short and link up play. How he drifts into areas that gives defenders problems and his finishing as well. He’s an outstanding individual as well.”

TBR’s View:
It sounds like Kane is going to be pushing hard to leave Spurs when he sits down with Levy, albeit it remains to be seen what kind of transfer fee it will take for anyone to sign him but he himself reference a £100million figure.
He certainly has earned the right to be called one of the world’s elite centre-forwards.
His record of 32 goals in 48 games across all competitions so far the season for his club shows his quality in front of goal, plus he’s laid on 16 assists to highlight his football brain.
