‘It’s pathetic’: Dean Henderson slams something Nottingham Forest are doing this season
Dean Henderson has said that the goals Nottingham Forest are conceding right now are ‘pathetic’ and believes he needs to improve.
The on-loan goalkeeper has been a regular for Forest since signing and has done his best to stem the tide. However, Forest have still conceded a whopping 22 goals in the Premier League, a figure only beaten by Leicester’s 24.

Interestingly, Forest conceded four against the Foxes though and Henderson, speaking to , believes the whole defence and himself need to be so much better.
“It’s totally avoidable. Whether it’s giving the ball away, edge of the box, people turning their backs blocking, the fundamentals of defending, maybe if I could save a couple of them, who knows. We’re working on it all the time and I take it personal and take it as my responsibility,” Henderson .
“I look in the mirror every day and think how can I go from conceding next to none in the last PL season I played to seven, it’s pathetic. So for sure I take it personally and I always look at what I can do to help the team.”
Henderson previously enjoyed a number of clean sheets in the PL while with Sheffield United. However, Chris Wilder’s side were built on the foundation of a solid and well rehearsed back five, allowing Henderson that bit more protection at the time.
TBR’s View: Henderson Can Do Better
He says it himself but there have been a few goals this season where you’d have to say Dean Henderson might have done a tad better, by his high standards anyway.
Henderson is a top class goalkeeper and if he has a good season then it puts Forest in with a big chance of staying up.
But he needs the defenders to do their job too. Naturally, the busier a goalkeeper is, the more he’ll concede over time.
