Dean Ashton makes claim about Spurs loanee Oliver Skipp
Dean Ashton that he believes that Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho would be daft to not include Oliver Skipp in his plans next season.
Skipp has enjoyed an outstanding loan spell at Norwich City this term. The 20-year-old is one of just two players to have started every single Championship game for the Canaries this year.

And he has played an integral role in helping Daniel Farke’s men put daylight between themselves and the chasing pack in the promotion race. They sit seven points clear with 13 games remaining.
Skipp certainly appears to have done all he can to make the most of the opportunity. And former Norwich striker Ashton has implored Mourinho to give him a chance upon his return.

“The Championship is notoriously difficult and we’ve seen people this season shine when they make the step up,” .
“For him to be hitting the levels he has at the top of the Championship, I think Tottenham would be daft to allow him to leave or send him out on loan. He’s played that well and deserves the opportunity to be given that chance at the start of next season.”
Skipp is potentially set to benefit from Spurs enduring, at times, a tough year. There looks to be an opportunity for Mourinho to make some changes over the summer.
And it is surely fair to say that one of the spots in midfield could be up for grabs. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has largely been a revelation. But those deployed alongside him have not always grasped their chance.
Putting greater faith in Skipp may appear to some to be a gamble. But he is doing all he can right now to prove that he is ready.
He has dealt with the pressure of playing for one of the promotion favourites superbly. So that can only stand him in good stead for the demands back in North London.
