One in, one out: The Deadline Day deals Cardiff City should prioritise

Cardiff City areඣ not fancied by many to avoid relegation and further additions are needed on deadline day to achieve that. Their busin♚ess so far has been centred on talented Championship players such as Bobby Reid and Josh Murphy.

Neil Warnock must now focus on bringing in proven Premier League experience to supplement his hard-working squad. There must be a focus on attacking reinforcements. Last season, their top scorer was Junior Hoilett w♓ith 11. A reliable goal-scorer should be sought on deadline day.

Meanwhile, there 𝕴are some in the current squad that aren’t good enough for the Premier League. One or two departures may be required to provide balance.

Below we discuss one player th♏at Cardiff should sign🎃 and one that they should sell.

Sign Danny Ings

It has been clear all summer ♈that Danny Ings doesn’t have a future at Liverpool. The Reds are developing into title contenders and the English striker doesn’t have the talent to break into their first team.

After the in﷽jury problems he has had, he needs to be play❀ing regular first-team football to prove his fitness and ability. He has scored only one Premier League goal in the last two seasons, but he hasn’t been helped by only 265 minutes on the field.

Cardiff would be taking a risk on the str♑iker, but he showed before with Burnley tജhat he can do well at this level. He scored 11 times during the 2014/15 season in an unfancied team.

A move to Wales would provide a similar c♚halle💜nge and he may thrive as a result. It would be unwise to spend big money, but a loan move could suit all parties.

Sell Lee Tomlin

The 29-year-old has dazzled in the Championship throughout his career, but he isn’t good enough to contribute꧂ in the Premier League. The doubts over his🌃 consistency, work rate and fitness mean that he would be a hindrance to Cardiff this season.

However, in the C🐬hampionship, he has the ability to be a match-winner and there will be teams interested in taking him🌊 either permanently or on loan.

This would be in the best interests of the club as it wo♚uld prevent the possibility of Tomlin having a negative impact on the training g🎃round.
