David Raya reveals what Kai Havertz has been like at Arsenal since his injury

Arsenal suffered a serious blow last week as Kai Havertz picked up an injury.

Havertz has been ruled out for the season after tearing his hamstring.

Havertz was injured in a pressing drill during the Gunnerstraining camp in Dubai.

Sadly, the German isn’t the only player at Arsenal struggling with an injury at the moment as Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are also all out injured.

Kai Havertz’s injury was a real blow to Arsenal and their title hopes, but, by the sounds of it, the striker is still in good spirits.

Indeed, according to David Raya, speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, Havertz is still very optimistic and very happy at the moment, claiming that the forward is already thinking about his return next season.

Kai Havertz feeling optimistic at Arsenal

Raya spoke about how Havertz is getting on behind the scenes at Arsenal.

The goalkeeper says that Havertz is very happy and optimistic behind-the-scenes despite this blow, while Bukayo Saka is also feeling similarly.

“Bukayo is doing very well. I see him every morning and he’s always happy with a smile on his face,Raya said.

“I can’t wait for him to be back what he offers not just on the pitch, off the pitch, the energy that he brings to the team

“Kai. I sae him two days ago or yesterday. I think he just came back from his surgery and he will have a few treatments and a few days off. He’s very optimistic and he’s very happy. Obviously he’s thinking about next season, he can’t think about this season because he’s not going to make it./p>

Arsenal record without Kai Havertz

Kai Havertz’s absence will be felt at Arsenal in the coming weeks, but, interestingly, Arsenal do have a good record without the German.

Indeed, Havertz has been almost ever-present since signing for Arsenal last summer, but in the few games he has missed, Arsenal have done well.

Havertz has missed four league games this season, and in that time, Arsenal are unbeaten.

Of course, you’d rather have your full squad available to you at all times, but past results show that it’s not necessarily the end of the world if Arsenal have to play without Havertz.

Mikel Merino earned massive praise for his showing up front last week, and if he keeps that up, the Gunners could well be on track to win the Premier League title this year.

Of course, keeping up that sort of form is easier said than done, especially in an unnatural position, but Merino will have to step up if Arsenal are to keep up with Liverpool.
