David Prutton identifies what Tyler Roberts has over 13-goal Leeds star
Former Leeds United midfielder David Prutton has heaped praise on Tyler Roberts and claims his versatility does give him an edge over Patrick Bamford
Roberts recently stepped off the bench against Hull City to score twice in a 4-0 victory over the Tigers.
He was back on the bench on Saturday, however, with Bamford firing in his 13th goal of the campaign in a 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town.

Prutton believes that having two strikers as competent will put them in good shape for the run-in.
“Tyler appears to have slightly more versatility to him than perhaps Patrick does.
“In working his way back to fitness after full injury and coming on to score two goals, he can’t have done much more to get a starting berth.
“It’s good for Leeds to know that they’ve got that reserve on the bench.
“We know how imperative these last nine games are going to be and the squad appear to be in a good position.
“They have worked their from what was seen as a perceived blip with questions being asked of them to answer them emphatically and they now look in rude health.”
Leeds have won five games on the spin and claimed a draw since losing to Nottingham Forest in February.
They now sit top of the league and look on course for a return to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

Bamford has had Marcelo Bielsa’s trust all season and after his goal on Saturday, Roberts may have to remain patient.
Competition
With nine games still to play a lot could happen and if Bamford does pick up an injury, the ex-West Brom man could be straight in.
He has shown he has what it takes to step up when called upon and he will be keen to put his injury concerns behind him.
Leeds are blessed with a decent squad and it’s testament to Bielsa that he has a relatively small group that has maintained his trust all season.
The Whites finally look set to get over the line and it’ll be interesting to see what role the two strikers play next season.
