David Ornstein says he’s heard something different about Liverpool’s move for Milos Kerkez

Richard Hughes is wasting no time when it comes to Liverpool’s summer transfer business.

Liverpool expect to sign Jeremie Frimpong and Arne Slot’s s🎃ide are also hoping to follow up that deal with th💞e addition of another full-back.

Milos Kerkez has been phenomenal under Andoni Iraola at Bournemouth this season and Liverpool are keen to sign Dominik Szoboszlai’s teammate as soon as possibl𒈔e.

Liverpool are thought to be pushing to secure a deal for Kerkez, who will arrive to compete🍰 with Andrew Roberts🌞on for the starting left-back role at Anfield next season.

And whilst Hughes’ side seem to have a clear run at signing Kerkez, ✃a move might not be as advanced as some Liverpool fans might have hoped.

David Ornstein shares Milos Kerkez update

Reporting fo🥂r NBC Sports, journalist David ༒Ornstein has now shared his understanding on how progressed Liverpool’s move for Kerkez actually is.

Ornstein said that Liverpool do want to bring in a left-sided full-back after securing a deal for Bayer Leve🐠rkusen’s 💯Frimpong.

However, the jo𓆉urnalist believed that the deal was ‘not as advanced’ as some think.

Sharing his understanding, Ornstein said: “On the other side they want to bring in a left-back, Milos Kerkez of Bournemouth is their to🐼p target.

“It’s not as advanced as some have been suggesting but I do think they will str🧸engthen in that pos꧟ition.”

Of course, others are reporting that Live𒈔rpool will sign Kerkez unless a ‘shock’ hap꧂pens.

Real Madrid have been watching Kerkez themselves, but asဣ mentioned, Liverpool should have a fairly free run at the Hungarian.

Liverpool are closing in on Jeremie Frimpong deal

Fortuꦅnate🎉ly, Ornstein did have a more promising update on Liverpool’s pursuit of Frimpong.

Liverpool are closing in on a deal for the ‘very exciting’ Dutchman to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold with a me𒀰dical currently underway.

Ornstein said: “Who is repla𒈔cing Trent Alexander-Arnold? Well that is Jeremie Frimpong.

“Bayer Leverkusen full-back, Nꦅetherlands international, very exciting. His release in the region of £35m is going to be activated by Liverpool, personal terms are in place and he’s in the process of undergoing a medical and completing that move.

“Meanwhile, in the same position, Conor Bradley has signed a new 🐽four-year contract⛎, keeping him at the club until 2029.”

A brilliant start for Hughes this summer as mentioned, and Liver꧋pool will surely follow-up these deals with a move for a striker.

And perhaps Liverpool should f🀅orget about a deal for Alexander Isak so they can promptly secure a꧃ different world-class striker instead.
