David Ornstein says Arsenal are acting as though they’ve already signed £51m player
Arsenal could be set for an exciting summer transfer window.
Arsenal will be signing a new striker this summer🌠 according to Fabrizio Romano, and that may not be the only exciting new addition at the Emirates.
Indeed, Arsenal have also been linked with Nico Williams𝔍, while according to David Ornstein, the Gunners already seem to believe that one signing this summer is secured.
According to Ornstein, Arsenal are internally already acting as if they have signed Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.
Zubimendi has agreed personal terms with Arsenal🦄, and the Gunners are acting as though that is a done deal at this point.

Arsenal are acting as though they have signed Martin Zubimendi
🐈Ornstein shared what he’s been hearing from Arsenal about Zubimendi, speaking to NBC.
The journalist says that Jorginho will likely leave Arsenal this summer, but he will be replaced by the £51m🎉 man, with the Gunners acting internally as if that one is a done deal.
𝓡“Fellow midfielder Jorginho is going to be leaving we believe when his terms expire at the end of the campaign. They will be adding to the midfield with the arrival of Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. Arsenal are acting internally as if that is a done deal, they’re also looking to add into the attack.”
Arsenal’s midfield options next season
ꦺZubimendi could be an excellent signing for Arsenal, and if the Gunners get this deal done, they could have some incredible midfield options heading into next season.
♕Of course, Arsenal play a system that incorporates one number six, one number eight and one number 10, and, if Zubimendi comes in, Arsenal’s depth in all of those positions will be incredible.
Number six | Number eight | Number 10 |
Martin Zubimendi | Declan Rice | Martin Odegaard |
Declan Rice | Mikel Merino | Ethan Nwaneri |
Thomas Partey | Myles Lewis-Skelly | Kai Havertz |
Mikel Merino | Oleksandr Zinchenko |
𝄹Zubimendi, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard could be the first-choice Arsenal midfield next season, while the options beyond that are solid as well.
☂Thomas Partey could be set for a new contract, while, let’s not forget, Myles Lewis-Skelly can play in midfield if needed as well.
﷽Arsenal could well have the best midfield in the Premier League come the beginning of next season.
