David Ornstein has just claimed on that Arsenal will intensify their efforts next week to sign Leeds United star Raphinha, and the Brazil international is now open to a move to the Emirates as well.

Reports revealed yesterday that the Gunners have agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign another Brazilian in Gabriel Jesus. Mikel Arteta’s side will reportedly splash £45 million to land the striker, who has been the priority target since before the transfer window even began.

Now that the striker situation is all but sorted, Arsenal are set to focus their attention on other important areas of the pitch. A new wide player is on Arteta’s wish list, and the Gunners even tabled a bid to sign Raphinha from Leeds a few days ago.

That offer was quickly rejected by Jesse Marsch and co at Elland Road, but Ornstein has just revealed that Arteta and Edu will be back and that Raphinha, branded as an ‘amazing‘ player by Illan Meslier, is now open to a move to North London as well.

David Ornstein says Raphinha wants to join Arsenal

Just a few minutes ago, Ornstein tweeted out the link to his exclusive article, reporting the latest on Arsenal’s interest in Raphinha following the rejected bid a few days ago.

The journalist claimed on : “Arsenal to intensify efforts next week to sign Raphinha from Leeds. More talks planned with 25yo’s camp & increased offer expected. Feeling among other suitors is AFC now leading & he’s said to be open to joining them.”

In his report with Leeds journalist Phil Hay on , it has been claimed that Arsenal have scheduled further conversations with the talented winger’s agents, and there is now a sense around the situation that the Gunners are the favourites to get this deal over the line.

Arsenal will now reportedly ‘enhance’ their offer to sign Raphinha, and there is optimism at the Emirates that the 25-year-old winger, , is open to joining Arteta, Edu and co in the coming days.

TBR View:

When Arsenal blew their opportunity to finish fourth at the end of last season, there was a concern that they will struggle to convince top players to move to the Emirates.

However, if reports are to be believed, both Jesus and Raphinha, who have been brilliant in the Premier League over the last two seasons, are said to be open to making Arsenal their new home.

Arteta and Edu deserve enormous praise if they can get these two deals over the line. Arsenal will be considerably stronger than they were last term, and that is a huge boost ahead of the start of the new season in August.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out, but if things go Arsenal’s way, they should be able to bring in Jesus and Raphinha before they leave for their pre-season tour to America next month.
