David Ornstein claims ‘incredible’ talent set for Liverpool exit despite impressing Arne Slot
Liverpool are yet to bring in a new signing this summer but Arne Slot may now offload a highly-rated talent at Anfield.
The Reds started their campaign in style, beating Ipswich Town 2-0 at Portman Road.
This could have been a real banana skin as the newly-promoted Tractor Boys made their Premier League return.
Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah found the net though with Arne Slot earning praise for his coaching.
Liverpool have started the season well but fans are looking to see some transfer business before the window shuts.

Sepp van den Berg transfer latest
Liverpool haven’t made a single first-team addition under Slot but missed out on one major signing last week.
The Reds saw Martin Zubimendi reject a move to Anfield, instead deciding to stay with Real Sociedad.
Liverpool may now struggle to land a new signing but could land a big sale in Sepp van den Berg.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that Van de Berg is now close to leaving Liverpool on a permanent basis.

Ornstein claims that Liverpool are now set to rake in around £20million for Van den Berg, achieving the valuation they set out.
Brentford face Van den Berg fight
Ornstein adds that Brentford are ‘strongly considering’ a move to sign Van den Berg.
The Bees are interested in a number of other right-footed centre backs including Burnley’s Dara O’Shea and Sheffield United’s Anel Ahmedhodzic.
Brentford are described as ‘long-term admirers’ of Van den Berg though and are thought to have a ‘solid’ relationship with Liverpool.
This news will come as a blow to Mainz, who were hoping to sign Van den Berg again this summer.
Mainz sporting director Christian Heidel suggested just last week that Van den Berg wanted to sign for Mainz, but it all depended on Liverpool’s lofty asking price.
£20million is a huge fee for Mainz and whilst they haven’t been able to meet the demands, Brentford may – especially with Ivan Toney wanted in Saudi Arabia.
The problem for Brentford is that Bayer Leverkusen have now made their move to sign Van den Berg too.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg claims that Bayer Leverkusen have now ‘made contact’ over a deal.
Bundesliga champions Leverkusen are eyeing defensive additions and Xabi Alonso is showing a ‘concrete’ interest in raiding Liverpool for Van den Berg.
This could now come down to a straight fight between guaranteed Premier League action with Brentford or the chance to play in the Champions League with Leverkusen.
Praised as ‘incredible’ by former teammate Greg Cunningham on , Van den Berg just hasn’t received chances at Liverpool since his 2019 move from PEC Zwolle.
Liverpool are now ready to cash in and fans will hope that any money coming in can be put towards a new signing for Slot.
