David Moyes reportedly rejected £5m bid for apparent West Ham target Jesse Lingard in 2014
Reports this week have suggested that West Ham United are interested in a potential move for Manchester United outcast Jesse Lingard in January.
that West Ham are one of several teams among others from Spain and Scotland who are keen on signing the lapsed England international on loan in January.
Lingard has barely featured for United this season and is out of his £75,000-a-week contract at the end of the season.
As the report from The Mirror mentions, Moyes worked with Lingard previously during his time in charge at Manchester United and would be happy to work with him again.

Whilst Lingard was never a regular at Old Trafford under the current West Ham boss, it is clear that Moyes rated him.
After impressing on loan at Birmingham City, former United assistant Rene Meulensteen was hoping to bring Lingard to Fulham – following in the footsteps of Ryan Tunnicliffe and Larnell Cole in making the switch.
back in 2014 the Cottagers made a £5 million play for Longard but Moyes rejected it, seeing Lingard as a part of his future plans as Red Devils boss.
Of course, he never really got the chance to utilise Lingard in Manchester, as Moyes was sacked just four months later.
But now, seven years down the line, Moyes might get a chance to reunite with Lingard and give him a starring role at West Ham.
