David Moyes remarks on Felipe Anderson after his goal in 4-0 win over Bournemouth

New West Ham manager David Moyes has shared what he told Felipe Anderson before he oversaw a 4-0 thumping of Bournemouth yesterday.

As per the Moyes had a simple message for Anderson before the match in which he broke his scoring drought by rounding off the scoring.

He : “I’d been asking him if he’s a Brazilian. Brazilians score goals, Brazilians make the difference, they do stuff that makes us all excited. All I’d said to him was, ‘Give us a Brazilian goal’.  And to be fair to him, he did.

“I don’t think I could have had a better start. I can’t take the credit, the players take the credit with their attitude and commitment. They played really well. We’ve only had a couple of days with them and I tried to make it as simple as I could. In truth, I don’t know most of the players but I tried to use every bit of time.”

TBR’s View – Anderson can be huge part of Moyes’ reign

The real challenges for Moyes come when the new manager bounce dies off and more than simple pre-match messages are required.

Anderson has the flair and quality to be a part of that. He needs to be consistent and turn his endeavour into goals and assists more regular than he has been doing.
