David Moyes predicts big things from West Ham star Felipe Anderson

David Moyes has delivered a positive verdict on West Ham star Felipe Anderson and has even tipped him to be a “special player” under him.

Hammers boss Moyes took charge of his first game against Bournemouth since rejoining the club and saw his team record an emphatic 4-0 home victory.

It means they are now two points above the relegation zone in the Premier League and the aim has to be to move away from the drop zone quickly.

One of the standout performers from the New Year’s Day win over Bournemouth was Anderson, who scored his first goal of the season.

The 26-year-old attacker hasn’t lived up to his expectation so far this season and hasn’t been justifying the £36million () the club spent in 2018.

But Moyes is confident in the Brazilian wide man and has given some upbeat comments on him.

“He’s (Anderson) got the ability to create and score more goals. Since I’ve been with him he’s been very good. He got a goal and you can see how pleased he was with it but I think more importantly is how hard he worked for the team. He can become a special player for us,”

TBR’s View:

Anderson has shown on his day that he can light up the London Stadium, but he’s certainly not done that on a consistent basis and he’s been given a lifeline by the return of Moyes.

It’s certainly a good idea by the Scottish boss to try get the best out of the trickster, as he’s got the potential to terrorise Premier League defences and just needs nudging in the right direction.
