David Moyes has revealed the Everton player whose performance levels have surprised him during his first eight matches back at Goodison Park.
The Toffees have really impressed since the return of Moyes having taken 14 points from a possible 21 and moving well clear of the bottom three.
Moyes’ side were held to a 2-2 draw with his former club Manchester United on the weekend to secure a result which sees them remain in 14th place.
One player who shone in the win was one of the team’s more senior players and Moyes has been raving about him ahead of their trip to Brentford.

David Moyes claims that Idrissa Gueye’s performance levels at Everton have impressed him given that he is now 35 years old.
The Scottish manager admitted he was concerned about the midfielder when he arrived given his age, however, the former PSG man has become a key part of his team.
Speaking ahead of the clash with Brentford, Moyes told the media: “Well I’ve been really, really pleased with him, his performance have been great.
“Sometimes I worry when they get to his age you start to think are the legs going and whether they can compete in all the games and play Wednesday, Saturday, Wednesday…
“But I have to say he’s done really well, I’ll have to look after him when I see fit but I think he’s acting as if he’s still a young one – he played really well last week.”
