David James think Dan James is a ‘perfect fit’ for Leeds United amid reports
(Tuesday, 10.10AM) that Dan James is the perfect fit for Leeds United, as the Manchester United closes in on a move.
James, 23, is close to a move to Elland Road with Sky Sports reporting live that the Wales ace is undergoing the second part of his medical.
It is believed the two sides have agreed a £25million fee – more than two years after James almost complete a move from Swansea to Leeds in 2019.
Leeds are confident of getting a deal done before the 11pm deadline – with James keen on going after Manchester United signed Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ex-England goalkeeper James was asked about Leeds signing his namesake. He believes James is the “perfect fit” for Leeds ahead of a move.
“I think it is a fantastic move,” James said. “The way Dan James plays – rapid, attack-minded, he will suit the Leeds style. He will fit in perfectly there.
“With Ronaldo there, he is surplus to requirements. But he is only 23 and has time on his side – it is something Bielsa will take advantage of.”

James on James: Leeds are really making quite the coup
Back in 2019, James was caught on the club’s Amazon Prime channel holding up a no.21 shirt – having already passed a medical.
But Swansea moved the goalposts and ignored phone calls. Leeds eventually missed out, James left crestfallen. But now, they get their man.
Leeds, though, will be bringing in a better player than the one they tried to sign two years ago. That is because of two years in the top flight.
James will have benefitted from two years at United, 74 games in which he produced 18 goal involvements. He is a better player and Leeds will profit.
