David James says Arsenal man ‘looks in a pretty good place’ ahead of Tottenham
David James has told that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta looks in a good place to go and oversee a win over Tottenham this weekend.
The Gunners defeated AFC Wimbledon 3-0 last night to secure a place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Arsenal got off to a shaky start during 2021/22. They were beaten in their first three games without scoring a goal and questions were asked of Arteta.

Now, things are looking up though. Last night saw the Gunners keep a third consecutive clean sheet, with two successive wins coming in the Premier League too.
Arsenal came out on top when they last met fierce rivals Tottenham and they’ll fancy their chances this weekend.
James has suggested as much, believing Arteta seems to have a positive mindset once again.
: “You look at Arteta talking after a few weeks ago and you look at him after last night. For me, he looks in a pretty good place at the moment.
“We talk about confidence, in the manager and on the pitch and you can see that now.
“They’re going into a game against Tottenham where I think they’ll fancy their chances. It’s three clean sheets in a row and the defensive side of their game has sorted itself out.”
Work to do but Arsenal can get back on track with weekend win
The Gunners do still have work to do. Wins over Norwich, Burnley and a League One outfit won’t convince people just yet that a corner has been turned.
This weekend’s game could be a fantastic opportunity for Arteta to silence some of his constant critics. Tottenham aren’t in a good place themselves and right now they could be there for the taking.

Arteta cares deeply about Arsenal and he’ll be desperate to continue kicking on in the Premier League.
European qualification is a must this season for the Arsenal boss and beating a challenger for such a position this weekend would be massive momentum purposes.
