Video: ‘Fantastic’ Liverpool talent shows off finishing skills in training and Mo Salah absolutely loves it

Liverpool have been in training preparing to take on Tottenham this weekend in what is another must-win game for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

A stuttering start to the season has seen Liverpool cruise into the last 16 of the Champions League but fail to challenge domestically. Recent losses to Nottingham Forest and Leeds have shown huge holes the Reds’ defensive game. However, another win in midweek against Napoli should have given them confidence ahead of Spurs.

And certainly, it seems Darwin Nunez is one of those Liverpool players looking confident. Well, that’s if the mini training clip released on is anything to go by.

In a short segment showing off Nunez’s finishing, the Uruguayan is shown receiving a pass off of Bobby Firmino before rifling a low, curling drive into the bottom corner. The finish is met with cheers and claps from his Liverpool teammates, with Mo Salah looking particularly impressed with Nunez.

Nunez will be hoping to seize his chance once more this weekend at Spurs. Despite there being doubters, Nunez has actually started proceedings well this season.

He has , adding another three in the Premier League along the way. He was dubbed a ‘fantastic‘ signing at the time of arrival, and he is looking well on the way to being that.

TBR’s View: Nunez finishing will only improve at Liverpool

There is no doubt that the pressure is on with Nunez just purely because of the fee Liverpool spent on signing him. But as things stand, he’s already looking good.

Sure, there are elements of his game he can improve on. But the good thing for Liverpool is that if anyone can improve players it’s Jurgen Klopp. The German coach has a track record of bringing the best out of players and Nunez can be the next one.

Of course, this is just a short clip of Nunez. But it’s a nice finish, and something Liverpool fans will like to see ahead of a crunch clash with Tottenham.
