Darren Bent shares emphatic Eberechi Eze verdict amid continued Tottenham interest
Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a fruitful summer on the transfer front, making a host of signings with a view to the future.
As well as signing Dominic Solanke, a Premier League-proven striker in his prime, Spurs also signed a host of exciting young talents who could become stars in years to come.
The likes of Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert and Yang Min-hyuk all have extremely bright futures ahead of them.
But despite the English market having shut, Tottenham already seem to have an eye on next year’s transfer windows.
For instance, Fabrizio Romano recently said Tottenham still appreciate Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, who stayed put at Selhurst Park this summer.
Spurs – and a host of other Premier League teams – were heavily linked with the England international over the past few months.
However, Eze didn’t leave, and so the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal will need to wait until January at the earliest if they still want to sign him.
Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent has now spoken highly of Eze in wake of his efforts for the England national team.

Darren Bent says Eberechi Eze is ‘so good’
Bent, speaking on talkSPORT, said the reported Spurs target is a “special” player who can do pretty much everything in midfield and attack.
“He is so special. Do you know what I mean? He is so good,” he said. “Again, no disrespect, would like to put out there, Crystal Palace still managed to hold onto him, a massive positive for them.
“But for himself, I mean, he can take the ball in any scenario and go past people, takes a great free kick, can create, can score goals, is brave with the ball, strong as they come, can glide past players.”
How much could Tottenham have to pay for Eze?
The claimed earlier in September that Eze’s £68million release clause reactivates next summer.
Better still, Palace are now said to potentially be open to negotiating on the price for their player next year.
Obviously a player like Eze will not come cheap, but he would certainly take any Premier League team up a level.
