Darren Bent says whether he thinks Tottenham legend Harry Kane would sign for Arsenal
Harry Kane has been in the headlines this week amid reports he could leave Bayern Munich.
Indeed, it has emerged that 🌳Kane has a release clause in his Bayern Munich contract, and Premier League clubs are on alert.
𝓡Paul Merson has suggested that Arsenal should sign Harry Kane🅘, and speaking on TalkSPORT, Darren Bent has been discussing this possibility.
꧑Kane says that he’d love to have Kane at Arsenal, claiming that this transfer wouldn’t be as shocking as Sol Campbell’s move to Highbury all those years ago.
♓However, ultimately, Bent conceded that Kane is unlikely to sign for Arsenal, claiming that he wouldn’t even join for £1m-a-week.

Harry Kane wouldn’t join Arsenal
♒Bent spoke about Kane potentially crossing the north London divide.
ꦍThe pundit advocated for this signing, but he ultimately conceded that it’s not going to happen.
However, ꦺKane did claim last season that Arsenal fans respect himꦆ, while he was on the Gunners’ books as a youngster.
🐽“I’m a huge Harry Kane fan. The guy has 28 goals in 28 games this year. I think if you can get him for £67m, I’m taking it. No-brainer. My concern is if he can still play at that intensity, you saw it at the Euros, it was like he was running in quicksand, that sharpness wasn’t there,” Bent said.
♔“I’d rather have Harry Kane at 32, than Zirkzee for even a fraction of the money.
💖“You need a number nine, but he would never ever, it would be bigger than Sol Campbell, he would never go to Arsenal,” Bent’s co-host said.
🥀“I’d take him in a heartbeat, and I don’t know if it would (be bigger than Campbell). This is why I think the Sol one is bigger. He’s Tottenham’s greatest ever goalscorer, one of their best ever players, England captain. But there’s been Bayern in between, listen, Sol Campbell, at the time was one of the best centre-halves in the country, he came out on TV and said he wasn’t leaving then went to Arsenal for free,” Bent said.
🍃“Harry Kane never came out and said he was staying. I don’t think he would.
✃“Do you think there’s a chance if Arsenal offered £1m-a-week, he’d go to Arsenal,” Bent was asked.
📖“No, I don’t think he would, but you never know do you. He would never go to Arsenal in a million years, but if you’re asking if I would take him, 100%,” Bent said.
Harry Kane’s past comments on Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka
🔯Kane to Arsenal is very unrealistic, but if he were to sign for the Gunners, he would be joining up with two players he’s a big fan of.
🎀Indeed, Kane is a huge fan of both Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice having played with both for England.
Kane praised Saka during the Euros last year.
𒊎“Fantastic finish from B. He deserves that. Unbelievable (performance). To play a new position as well. I know he has played there before, but different position to what he is used to,” he said.
🌄“I know he has been eager to help the team and get on the scoresheet. To play the way he did for all 120 minutes, not just with the ball but without the ball as well, you could see at the end he was completely knackered. Then to show and step up and do what he had done and score the penalty in the manner that he had done, really special, So, couldn’t be prouder of him and all the boys.”
Meanwhile, 🐟Kane hailed Declan Rice for his incredible workrate for England last year too.
🦂Of course, this deal is unlikely, but, as Campbell’s move to Arsenal all those years ago showed, you can never say never in football.
