Darren Bent says Tottenham definitely should sign England star, he’s better than Hugo Lloris
Darren Bent thinks Tottenham should sign Dean Henderson or Emi Martinez to replace first choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
There has been talk about Spurs getting a longer term replacement for Lloris in for months now, and it is something which looks likely to happen at the end of the season.
It is not yet clear which goalkeeper is at the top of their list, with plenty of names banded about, and of course Martinez’s profile recently went through the roof after winning the World Cup.
Bent told that Henderson, who earns a £120,000-a-week and is currently on loan from Manchester United to Nottingham Forest, is another credible contender.

Bent says Spurs should sign Henderson to replace Lloris
Bent said: “Getting a better goalkeeper would 100 per cent help. Getting a better goalkeeper will 100 per cent help.
“Whether that be someone like Emi Martinez or Dean Henderson, who is a good goalkeeper, of course it’s going to help.
“Because the Aston Villa game [where Lloris messed up as Spurs lost 2-0 at home] costs you points.”
Henderson is currently basking in the glory of an EFL Cup quarter-final win over Wolves, where he saved the crucial penalty from youngster Joe Hodge and celebrated wildly.
Spurs were linked with Henderson ahead of the summer transfer window, but they did not make a move and he joined Forest on loan.
He saved a penalty for Forest from Harry Kane when Spurs won at the City Ground earlier this season, prompting Antonio Conte to call him ‘incredible‘.
Henderson is an England international, but did not make the World Cup squad due to the form of Jordan Pickford, Nick Pope and Aaron Ramsdale.
United’s goalkeeping situation remains unresolved, but at this moment in time, it feels unlikely that he would come back and be their first choice next season.
