Darren Bent says Manchester United player did something more impressive than Garnacho’s wonder goal

Darren Bent has suggested that one Manchester United player did something even more impressive than Alejandro Garnacho’s wonder goal against Everton this season.

It has been a🅠 pretty miserable campaign for Erik ten Hag’s side in the Premier League, with United registering their lowest ever finish since the league’s rebranding in 1992.

Ten Hag’s critics will suggest that United relied too much on moments of sheer brilliance from individual players to get them out of trouble, and perhaps no moment will be more fondly remembered than what Alejandro Garnacho did at Goodison Park.

Garnacho scꦛored an incredible overhead kick against the Toffees; evoking memories of that Wayne R✃ooney goal in the Manchester derby all those years ago.

Darren Bent amazed by what Marcus Rashford did this past season

But speaking on , Darren Bent believes that one of his teammates scored an even better goal this past campaign as he named his st𝕴rike of the season across the divisio🐽n.

“One: Garnacho versus Everton; the other one: Rashford, City. Bang. I’⛦m going Rashford, City. The r🎶eason why I’m picking that over Garnacho’s overhead kick is the context of the game, the Manchester derby,” he said.

“My point is Rashford’s, everyone was hammering him, that he was terrible. It was C🌟ity, everyone was saying they were going to get smashed.𓂃 Out of the blue, unbelievable.”

What forward has now told Manchester United about his future

That goal would p🌟rove to be a rare high point for Rashford, who failed𝓡 to get close to his tally of 30 goals from the previous year.

Some have insiste🌼d that Rashford now 𝔉needs to leave Old Trafford and secure a fresh star🎐t. But it would appear that the forward is hoping to stay exactly where he is.

TBR Football has reported that Rashford has informed Ma🧸nchester United that he wants to stay and try to recapture his previous𝄹 form for the Red Devils.

It was alarming just how far the 26-year-old’s form seemed to dip last year, and there will be real 🐎concerns about the chances of him becoming that great player again.

Moments like that one at the Etihad Stadium, when he nearly burst the net with his🧸 thunderous strike, will give him real belief that he can get back on track next year.
