Darren Bent claims £50m player who Tottenham want to sign is starting to remind him of Dele Alli
Darren Bent has suggested that Conor Gallagher under Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea is now reminding him of Dele Alli’s best spell at Tottenham.
, the pundit was full of praise for the England international, who is also reportedly wanted by Spurs as Chelsea continues to flip-flop on Gallagher’s future heading into January.
Bent said: “Conor Gallagher [improving] almost reminds me of when Mauricio Pochettino got a hold of Dele Alli, and look what he turned him into.”

With Alli as exciting as he was under Pochettino, the thought of having a similar player in the current Tottenham squad in Gallagher is an exciting prospect for fans.
However, given how impressive the midfielder has been this season and how much trust Pochettino has now put on Gallagher’s shoulders, a move this summer seems unlikely.
Indeed, the £50m-rated midfielder would be an ideal addition for Ange Postecoglou’s side in 2024, yet with Gallagher performing as good as he is, a transfer to Tottenham seems far-fetched.
Tottenham have no chance of signing Gallagher after Chelsea revival

Having worn the armband this season and established himself as a mainstay in Pochettino’s XI, it’s safe to say that Gallagher isn’t going anywhere in 2024.
The midfielder has turned his Chelsea career around completely this season, and whilst Tottenham might still think they have a chance at signing Gallagher, the player himself might have zero interest at all.
As we know, Gallagher is a boyhood Chelsea fan and has been at the club his entire life, and leaving now when he is at his best for a London rival would be strange, to say the least.
