Darren Bent asked if Arsenal regret letting Aubameyang leave the club
Darren Bent that Arsenal still🌼 made the right decision letting Pierre-Emer🌊ick Aubameyang leave as he continues to impress with Barcelona.
Aubameyang has now scored five goals in his last three appearances in all competitions, including a hat-trick against Valencia. It is an absolutely superb start following his move to the Nou Camp after the January transfer windꦜow.

Of course, Aubameyang’s form will not have escaped the attention of Arsenal fans. The Gunners contiꦆnue to remain in pole position in the top-four race in ꦛthe Premier League. However, goals have been an issue.
Mikel Artetaཧ’s men have not scored more than two in a game since December. And ﷽of course, they scored one goal in five games in January while Aubameyang was ostracised.

‘Right decision’
Neither Alexandre Lacazette and ဣEddie Nketiah have be꧋en prolific this season. And with that, some may be tempted to wonder whether Arsenal made an error letting Aubameyang leave – particularly given his current form for Barca.
However, Bent has insisted that Arsenal still made the right decision letting Aubameyang go, claiming that the Gabon internatio𒅌nal’s form would not have been as good had he stuck around.
“No they won’t [regret it] because he wasn’t showing that kind of form at Arsenal. I think he’d gone stale there. Clearly, he wasn’t happy at Arsenal. Arteta didn’t t🐠hink he featured in their plans,” .
“He’s gone to Barcelona, he looks rejuvenated. He looks like he’s got a point to pro𒅌ve, he scoring goals. And I’d expect that, a lot of strikers go to new clu𒀰bs and hit the ground running. That’s exactly what he’s done.
“But he wouldn’t have had the same impact at Arsenal as he’s having at Barcelona because it just looked like it had come to the 🏅end. He was frustrated, the club was frustrated. It was the right decision for both 🍒parts.”
Arsenal mistake was not letting Aubameyang leave
Bent is surely right to suggest that Arsenal were still right to let Aubame🎃yang go.
Arteta previously labelled him ‘‘. But he had been in really poor form loꦓng before his exit was confirmed. And clearly, Arteta did not feel that keeping him around was helping the squad.
The mista🥃ke Arsenal did make however, was surely not signing a replacement. It was certainly a huge risk when there is a fantastic opportunity to secure a top-four spot.
Lacazette and Nketiah have three Premier League goals between them this season. Reports have claimed that they have wanted a host of names, including Alexander Isak.
Obviously, it would have been a huge ask to get someone lik𒅌e Isak to the Emirate♋s in January.
But Bent notes that strikers ꦜsometimes benefit from a change of scene. So perhaps Arsenal did not even need to target the most in-form option in January.
That is surely the decision the fans will fear comin꧟g back to haunt them, rather than letting Aubameyang leave.
